The Hawaiian Islands are a destination of diversity, creativity, and endless inspiration. While many visitors make their way to this sandy and sunny locale pursuing white sand beaches, opportunities to soak up the sun’s rays and of course, enjoying island flavor, others come to take to the waves in style on surfboard and sailboat. While the scenery promises not to disappoint, Hawaii is also a place that’s packed with talent when it comes to music and art. Local musicians are recognized for their island-inspired work on an annual basis at the Na Hoku Hanohano Awards. This great honor provides a variety of categories through which local musicians find their talent recognized on a larger scale across the islands.
The Na Hoku Hanohano Awards Honors Hawaii’s Talented Musicians
Hosted by the Hawaii Academy of Recording Arts, the Na Hoku Hanohano Awards works hard to acknowledge and honor those musicians who keep the musical traditions of the Hawaiian Islands alive and thriving through their creative efforts. In its 42nd year, the Na Hoku Hanohano Awards continue to embody the importance of continuing traditional musical creation on the Hawaiian Islands.
